For Educators

Supplement your classroom lessons with programming about robotics, animal habitats, physics, and more. Let us take you to the stars or the edge of space with a fun-filled day of learning in the Varia Planetarium. Our staff can build a lesson around your curriculum, or take advantage of a variety of lessons in science, astronomy and physics provided by our staff of instructional specialists. School Programs

Classroom - Each program can be adapted for any age group 30 student capacity

Learn about what we use robots for, how they work, and coding techniques with cubelets, littlebits, and more!

What are the three laws of motion? How do forces work? Is there gravity in space? Can you lie on a bed of nails? Find out the answers to these questions and more with demonstrations and hands-on activities!

What animals live in the desert? What is a predator? Do lizards have blue tongues? Meet and learn about the different animals that live at EKSC while discovering habitats and camouflage.

What makes a fossil? Are all rocks the same? What about minerals? Using critical thinking and hands-on experimentation to identify animals or rock types!

What is a polymer? What makes a bubble? Learn about, hold, and create different states of matter while discovering adhesion, surface tension, and other chemistry concepts!

Where does electricity come from? How are we able to harness lightning? Can you touch a Tesla Coil? Learn about the history of electricity and how we use it today through demonstrations and hands-on activities.
