What is respiratory care
Respiratory Therapists assess, treat and care for all types of patients with breathing disorders from the premature infant to the elderly. Therapists provide oxygen therapy for patients who are short of breath and lacking oxygen as well as providing life support to patients who have stopped breathing. A separate admission process must be completed in order to be considered for the Respiratory Care program.

The Respiratory Care Program at Ò»Æð²Ý has received Continuing Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Ò»Æð²Ý’s CoARC Program Number is 200477. For more information on CoARC or to find out how to contact them,
CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.
Program Goal
To prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).
